Whether you have lots of time or just a little, whatever your talents or interests, PTA has a place for you. Below is a simple guide to connect what you love (and the time you have) with ways you can help.

PTA is for teachers, parents, grandparents, guardians, community members and friends!
EXAMPLES OF PTA TASKS & TIME COMMITMENTS
Bulletin Board Updater (30 min, 1x/month): Plan a theme, hang new decorations
Flyer Distribution (1 hr, weekly): make copies of event flyers, place in teacher inboxes
Event Setup Crew (1-2 hours): Put up decorations, arrange tables
Social Media Assistant (15 min/week): Help create and post reminders or event updates
Yearbook Photographer (at any event!): Capture school memories to share
Sign-Up Genius Organizer (from home, 20 min/task): Create online sign-ups for events
Teacher Appreciation Volunteer (varies): Help organize or deliver snacks/gifts
Spirit Merchandise Distribution –(15-30min/wk) fulfill merch orders and place in teacher inboxes
Refill soap/air fresheners in school bathrooms –(15-30min/wk)
Sell Event Tickets – (1-2 hours as needed per event)
OPEN Committee Leads + Key Volunteer Positions:
Kocurek Alumni Scholarship: Help the Scholarship Committee to update scholarship forms, advertise scholarship application deadline to students/parents, track applications and coordinate voting at April PTA Meeting, coordinate awarding the scholarship in May, and track any Koala Circle sponsorships received (funds go towards the scholarship).
Bank Statement Reviewer: Approximately once per month, review the PTA bank statement records to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
Advocacy – provide information to families on making informed choices when voting
Arts in Education Program – working to incorporate the arts into daily learning contributes to the growth and education of the whole child
Healthy Lifestyles – a commitment to building healthy schools, healthy families, and healthy communities
Reflections – A staple arts program in many schools where students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts
Join a Committee:
Advocacy - provide information to families on making informed choices when voting
Beautification Committee - indoor/outdoor, sprucing up campus
Communications – update website, create & post to social media
Hospitality - snacks, teacher gifts
Membership – organize membership drive, welcome families
Scholarship
Spirit Nights – organize events/food for fundraising opportunities
Sponsorships - contacting local businesses
